RFID in Retail and Apparel 2016 Report

October 23rd, 2016 Retail - Apparel - Features
By RFID Journal
Earlier this month, RFID Journal hosted a conference and exhibition for the apparel and retail sectors. View the presentations from the event.

Around the world, retailers and brand owners are employing radio frequency identification and related technologies to improve inventory accuracy, reduce out-of-stocks, locate products quickly and reduce shrinkage. With that in mind, RFID Journal's RFID in Retail and Apparel 2016 conference and exhibition, held in New York City on Oct. 6, outlined how RFID is being deployed at stores and warehouses to improve item-level inventory management and supply chain tracking. One hundred attendees took part in the one-day conference.

During the event, retailers and suppliers already using RFID technologies presented case studies to help attendees determine the best approach for their needs, learn best practices from early adopters, find the right technology partners and move forward with deployment. In conjunction with the conference, SML hosted an RFID Pop-up Retail Store, at which brand owners and retailers could view in action the latest RFID tags and hardware, as well as SML's Clarity software, currently deployed at more than 1,000 stores worldwide.

Recordings of RFID in Retail and Apparel's speaker presentations are now available in RFID Journal's video library. Links to videos of the event's sessions are provided below, along with PDFs of the slides used in those presentations.
